It's pronounced Ger-sten-zang.

Growing up, I thought I was going to be a filmmaker, but I started my career as a software engineer.

Over time, I’ve realized what I’m best at is working with creative people to sort through complex, conflicting information to identify the most important things and then get those things done, urgently.

My creative inspirations are David Chang and Rick Rubin.

I love how they combine genres to create something new, focus on the very essence what matters, and how empowering other creators is an equal practice to self-expression.

People who know me well describe my top qualities as curiosity and tolerance of new ideas, a driven sense of urgency, optimism, and incisive thinking.

You can see where I’ve worked on Linkedin (where I tried to be honest about my failings as well as successes) – including founding companies and working as an investor. You can read my tweets here, and subscribe to what I’m writing here.

Outside of my main hustle, I help other companies through Boulton & Watt.

I maintain intellectual interests in augmented cognition, software development, economic development, business history, and visual art.

I'd love to hear from you.
